C19H28N4O4 · 376.45 Da · CAS 15291-76-6
Tripeptide α-MSH fragment. Studied for anti-inflammatory and epithelial-healing pathways.
01 · Overview
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide fragment of α-MSH — Lys-Pro-Val. The shorter peptide retains the anti-inflammatory signaling of its parent hormone without the melanocortin receptor binding that produces pigment effects.
Published research has examined KPV in experimental colitis, keratinocyte cultures, mast-cell degranulation models, and as a topical anti-inflammatory reference compound. Alvar supplies KPV as a free-base lyophilized peptide in 5 mg vials.
02 · Handling
Excursion above 25 °C for more than 48 h: request replacement.
Reconstitution protocols vary by compound and study. Your per-lot certificate lists the solvent used during purity verification.
