Pentadecapeptide derived from gastric protein. Widely researched for soft-tissue recovery models.
01 · Overview
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound) is a synthetic 15-residue fragment of a protective gastric juice protein, first isolated in the early 1990s by the Sikirić group in Zagreb. Its sequence Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val is stable in gastric acid, which has made it unusually popular in oral-administration research models.
Published literature spans wound healing, ligament and tendon repair, gut-barrier integrity, and interactions with the nitric-oxide system. Alvar supplies BPC-157 as the acetate salt in single-use vials, with per-lot verification from an independent accredited laboratory.
02 · Handling
