01 · Overview

About Selank.

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of the immunomodulator tuftsin, developed at the same Russian institute as Semax. Its sequence — Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro — is modified to extend pharmacological half-life relative to the parent tuftsin tetrapeptide.

Published research has examined anxiolytic effects via GABAergic and tuftsin-receptor pathways, metabolic stability in plasma, and its potential as a non-sedating anxiolytic reference compound in rodent behavioral assays. Alvar supplies Selank as a free-base solution.
